Overview
in vivo-jetPEI® is a ready-to-use cationic polymer reagent used for in vivo transfection of nucleic acids (DNA, siRNA, miRNA, shRNA and other oligonucleotides) in any animal model.
With more than 600 peer-reviewed publications, in vivo-jetPEI® is established in the field of in vivo delivery, whether for functional studies, oncology research as well as vaccination purposes. Additionally, in vivo-jetPEI® has the advantage of being available in 2 different quality grades (Research and GMP grades) to support our customers at each step of their development process.

Capabilities
Polyvalent: in vivo delivery of DNA, sh/si/miRNA through all frequently used injection routes
in vivo-jetPEI® is efficient for the delivery of nucleic acid in any animal model (mice, rat, rabbit, llama, monkey, etc.).
in vivo-jetPEI® can be used to target a wide range of organs by systemic and local administration. The injection route largely determines the targeted organs: upon intravenous injection, delivery is mainly in the lung but also in the liver, pancreas, spleen, kidney, heart, bladder and artery. Conversely, upon intraperitoneal injection, expression is in the ovary, pancreas, diaphragm, uterus and stomach. Cell-specific promoters can also be combined with a local injection route to restrict expression to an organ/tissue.
Time-saving: Ready-to-use reagent requiring no equipment or formulation expertise
in vivo-jetPEI® is the reagent of choice to deliver various types of nucleic acid through most systemic and local injection routes.
Besides, with in vivo-jetPEI®, there is no need to spend time and budget on formulation, as it is a ready-to-use reagent with a straightforward protocol. Indeed, the nucleic acid and in vivo-jetPEI® complexes are prepared in only two steps and are ready to be injected into the animal model within 15 minutes.
Our friendly Scientific Support team is happy to provide protocols tailored to your needs.
GMP-compliant grade: in vivo-jetPEI® enables a seamless transition from fundamental research to Human clinical trials
In addition to being used for in vivo functional and proof-of-concept studies, in vivo–jetPEI® has been selected as a delivery vehicle for several drug development programs due to its reliability, safety and efficacy. Several preclinical studies and clinical trials are currently underway for cancer therapy, vaccination and immunization using the GMP–compliant quality of in vivo–jetPEI®.
Safe: non-viral delivery method that does not trigger major inflammatory reaction nor hepatotoxicity
in vivo–jetPEI® constitutes a safe excipient for nucleic acid delivery. Following administration of in vivo–jetPEI®/nucleic acid complexes, there is no induction of major pro-inflammatory cytokines and no increase in sera levels of hepatic enzymes. (Bonnet et al., (2008), Pharm Res 25:2978-82).
Renowned: Advanced in vivo delivery technology for functional studies, cancer research, immunization and vaccination
in vivo-jetPEI® is a powerful polymer-based reagent with unique properties. In the provided complexation solution, in vivo-jetPEI® condenses any nucleic acid into stable nanoparticles which are sufficiently small to efficiently diffuse within tissues and enter cells by endocytosis, while protecting naked nucleic acids from degradation. At the cellular level, in vivo-jetPEI® facilitates both endosomal escape via proton sponge mechanism (Akinc et al. (2005), J Gene Med 7: 657), and crossing of the nuclear membrane (Brunner et al. (2002), Mol Ther 5: 80).
These properties make it the non-viral vector of choice for in vivo nucleic acid delivery, as nicely illustrated by its use in over 600 peer-reviewed publications.
